Cluster management
The cluster is managed by a Strategy Board with high-ranking experts and the Coordination Office. These experts include representatives from industry partners and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as representatives from the research partners. The Strategy Board controls the Coordination Office and is responsible for the development of the cluster's strategy.
The objective of this cluster management is to centrally coordinate and control the outstanding resources and expertise of the cluster partners in all areas, such as research and development, training and further education, communication and the transfer of technologies. The synergy effects created by this cooperation will help to strengthen the cluster even further.
The Coordination Office of the Software-Cluster, which has been based in Darmstadt since 2007, not only coordinates the cross-regional cluster activities, it is also responsible for establishing and maintaining links to other important areas within the various regions. Key activities of the Coordination Office include project management, communication and public relations work as well as the organization of regional coordination offices and the coordination of various research network projects.
All of these regional coordination offices operate in two directions: they work together with the central Coordination Office, in order to enable the transfer of content, offers and enquiries between the Software-Cluster and the various sub-regions while, at the same time, communicating the interests of local software companies and users. But that's not all, as they provide companies within their specific regions with a wide range of offers and services, as can be seen from the detailed descriptions on the following pages.
